A practising Buddhist in the Tibetan Ri-Me/Nonsectarian Mahayana/Mantrayana Tradition.
I have received teachings and instruction from Sogyal Rinpoche, Geshe Sonam Rinchen, Geshe Acharya Thubten Dawa, Zasep Tulku Rinpoche, Ngakpa Kharma Lhundup Rinpoche, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and Gen Lama Thubten Phuntsok, among others.
Dominique just told me that Rime is a tradition to keep practices alive, is that so? I have been going to the Gompa for White Tara practice and last Sunday we both went to Calm Abiding here in Cairns, Rinchen and her faithfuls have done a great job in setting up the Gompa, Next time I take some photos and uplaod them here.
To benefit from videos I think we need speaker for the laptop.

Armidale must be a nice place then, if people from Canberra moved up there. We have been to Cairns before leaving Australia. There is a lovely Gompa there, run by a nun named Rinchen, also a Lama Choedak disciple, if you will.
I had sent her an invitation to join engaged buddhists but she hasn't yet.
Lama Choedak Rinpoche has visited us here in Armidale too.
Some of his students from Canberra now live up here in Armidale.
I believe the Rigpa group is part of the Nyingma tradition.
:)
Hi, Ross,
You have had a long involvement with Tibetan Buddhism!
We have seen Sogyal Rinpoche in Adelaide. That was a very popular event. He is very direct. But I thought he was of the Rigpa tradition?
We have had teachings mainly of the Sakya tradition.
His Emminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche, His Holiness Sakya Trizin, Lama Choedak Rinpoche and others.
Hello Ross, welcome to engaged buddhists.
You have a nice smile, so Buddhism works for you!?
But no information in the profile, except that you are Australian. I've found 3 Australians so far on this network.
We'll be back in SA in December after a year in Germany.
We had the opportunity to hear the Dalai Lama in Hamburg which was wonderful. We also bought a DVD which I would like to upload here. Anyhow, welcome again. Yours Moona
