About Me:
Shambhala vision is rooted in the contemplative teachings of Buddhism, yet is a fresh expression of the spiritual journey for our time.

We offer a large range of classes and events for newcomers, those interested in exploring a full path of practice and study, and our more advanced students. We also host community gatherings and celebrations. We endeavor to put into practice the principles of courage and compassion. This helps us to experience daily life as a constant opportunity for spiritual practice and social service.

Meditation is a natural state of the human mind—at rest, open, alert. Mindfulness meditation is the foundation of all that we do at the Shambhala Center. This ancient practice of self-discovery is rooted in the simple but revolutionary premise that every human being has the ability to cultivate the mind's inherent stability, clarity and strength in order to be more awake and compassionate in everyday life.

Turning the Mind into an Ally

The Boston Shambhala Center offers a unique path of working with your mind. Meditation is a powerful practice, one that is increasingly important for our troubled times.

Join us for a one-day workshop entitled: Turning the Mind into an Ally on October 18th, 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The price is $40 Members ($60 General Public).

This is a one-day workshop exploring the technique of meditation and is perfect for newcomers to meditation. Please tell your friends and colleagues!

Tell them they will learn all the elements for a strong practice: good sitting posture, how to relate to the breath, and what to do when thoughts come up. One
of our wonderful teachers, Charlie Byron will be leading this workshop.
