Not Turning Away: The Practice of Engaged Buddhism

by Susan Moon (Shambhala) -- an anthology of some of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship's best articles from the Turning Wheel Journal and divided into three sections. The first focuses on how engaged Buddhism helps in personal suffering, while the second section describes the experience of taking engaged Buddhism "into the world." The third section shifts away from the anecdotal toward the analytical, including the roots of engaged Buddhism and suggestions for teaching children.

Most Misused and Abused Teachings and Facts of the Buddha?

I am trying to compile information and inputs on some of the hard-hitting facts about the Buddha and Buddhism today. Would like all the friends out here to add factual as well contextual inputs and insights, supported by as much references and contexts as possible.

Some of the key themes under my quest are:

1) What are the least known and least explored facets of the Buddha and Buddhism, especially from the last days of his life?

2) What are the teachings and facets of the Buddha and Buddhism… Continue
